NGSPL has established a separate Plant Breeding Research Center in Pune, the Scientific Capital of Maharashtra State. The research division is recognized by Department of Scientific and Industrial Research, Ministry of Science and Technology, New Delhi. The team of experienced scientist dedicated for in-house research on various field crops and well as vegetable crops. We are increasing the scope of Breeding Research, Multi-location Testing and Biotechnology Research activities. Presently R & D activities being conducted on more than 16 crops including Cereals, Forages, Vegetables, Oil Seeds, Pulses and Cotton.
Efforts of our research scientist are helping us to develop and release excellent products with in-built tolerant/resistance against pest, diseases, drought stress conditions and with better yield enhancement.
NGSPL came up with the high yielding hybrids of Maize, Fodder Sorghum, Fodder Pearl Millet, Okra, Chilli, Gourds, etc. R&D team has a vision to give best of the best hybrids with maximum genetic expression and high return to Indian farmers. The research division is supported with well-equipped state of the art biotechnology laboratory and well qualified and highly experienced scientific staff.
